General Information:

The online educational platform is designed for students in grades 1-11 in general and specialized schools. It will be particularly valuable for educational organizations that recognize the importance of integrating practical and project-based work into their educational processes, as well as for preschool organizations. All STEAM projects on this platform come with methodological resources, including instructions, necessary materials, photos, and video content. The platform is available in three languages: Kazakh, Russian, and English.

Functional Capabilities:

The online educational platform includes the following features:

1. A landing page with relevant information on the importance and benefits of STEAM education.

2. A catalog of 190 projects using accessible materials, featuring an embedded search filter for schools. The search filter allows project searches by grade (1-11), term (I-IV), and subject (algebra, biology, geography, geometry, natural science, ICT, engineering, informatics, mathematics, technology, physics, chemistry, arts, DIY, Family Time).

Among the projects:

● 12 projects using 3D/Arduino, including “Smart Fingerprint Lock,” “Smart Garage,” “Smart Irrigation System,” “Memory-Enhancing Game,” “LED Sound Visualizer,” “Electric Conductivity Meter,” “Aerodynamics Science,” and “Tinkercad Roller Coaster.”

● 28 STEAM mathematics projects, such as “Ballistic Device,” “Water Saving Math,” “Financial Literacy,” “Fractals of Tetrahedrons,” “Magic Chocolate Tile,” “Pizza Fractions,” and “Machine Learning for Beginners.”

● 18 chemistry projects, including “Wastewater Treatment Model,” “DIY Candle,” “Water Pollution Model,” “Fast Food Digestive System Model,” and “Mixture Types.”

● 13 physics projects on topics like “Hydropower Plant,” “Electromagnetic Train,” “Simple Motor,” “Balloon Car,” and “Hydraulic Lift.”

● 68 natural science projects, including “Thermal Bag & Lunchbox,” “Sound Amplifier,” “Seismograph Model,” “Sun Dial & Magnetic Compass,” “3D Submarine World,” and “3D Model of a Rose.”

● 16 biology projects, such as “Heart Model,” “Kidney Model,” “Plant Transpiration,” “Photosynthesis Reaction to Light,” “Self-Watering Terrarium,” and “Drip Irrigation Effectiveness.”



Each project includes the topic title, description, photos, one of the 4C skills developed (creativity, critical thinking, communication, collaboration), a list of required materials, learning goals, handouts if necessary, detailed lesson plans, assessment criteria (PBL), and reflection questions.

3. Projects Section features recommended STEAM curricula for grades 1-11. Projects for each grade are grouped by term and labeled by week.

● Grade 1 curriculum includes projects such as "Body Biometrics," "Bird Feeder," "Mobius Strip," "Geometric Figures Around Us," "Sound Amplifier," "Magnetic Compass," and "Liquid Hourglass."

● Grade 2 curriculum includes projects like "Robot Hands," "Greenhouse," "Spinning Eclipse Wheel," "Magnetic Photo Frame," "Gummy Bears," and "3D Geocomposition House."

The effectiveness of these programs has been piloted in four schools, reaching 3,000 active students. This testing was conducted with mixed-method research to gather comprehensive evidence and insight on implementation (Creswell, 2012). For grades 5-11, each class has one project per month, totaling 9 projects annually and 63 projects overall.

4. STEAM Courses Section provides essential and supplementary courses for teachers and students in STEAM fields, covering courses like:

○ "Basics of Arduino Electronics": Introduction, digital and analog pins, connecting LEDs, button control, motor and transistor integration.

○ "3D Modeling": Introductory lesson, creating animations, rendering, creating scenes in SketchUp.

○ "IT Entrepreneurship": Startup ideas, team building, product-market fit, scaling, and exit strategies.

○ "Internet Safety": Creating secure passwords, identifying phishing scams, browser tracking, and secure online shopping.

5. User Dashboard includes a management panel where users can view their project/course list, submit personal projects (subject to moderation), rate projects, and leave comments, creating a comprehensive knowledge exchange platform. Each project page features thumbnails, has a unique URL, and allows user ratings and comments.
